Notes on Additions; Other Notes

[edit]

The following should be noted on this article in regards to the new sports segment on KNTV:

  • When KNTV began their new sports segment at Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, Jim Kozimor has been confirmed as anchor during the KNTV's 6 and 11pm newscasts. The branding of "Xfinity Sports Desk" is still retained. A new set was revealed upon the launch.
  • KNTV has confirmed to be the first station in the U.S. (either as a whole or mainland) to outsource it's sports segments to a sports cable network. To describe it this way, one anchor in one of the references (see KNTV) claims that the change will transform from a small-sized sports staff (as typical of most television stations) to a large sports staff (typical on sports cable networks), which means a reporter can cover a story whenever a sports story breaks. Additionally, some references on that article also say that it is the test base for other NBC O&O stations.

I should note that the articles vary differently due to depth of article. CHAK 001 (talk) 08:06, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
