Translation[edit]

I translated NIS Illegal eavesdropping case in South Korea, based on a published article on Korean Wikipedia, addressing the same concern. As a native speaker of Korean, I have translated the article best of my ability, with some help with Google Translator for vocabularies. Although it does not require cultural background, it was complicated as there are many names that appeared to be repetitive, with different ways of spelling.

Merge or Move? Is this the same as the X-file scandal?[edit]

I think one of two things should happen to this article, or maybe both: it could be merged with X-file scandal, or be moved to NIS wiretapping scandal (2005). As for the merge, I'm not actually sure whether this scandal is the same as the X-files scandal, or just happened at the same time. If they're the same, they clearly should be merged. As for the move, I think the current title is not ideal. It may be a functional translation from Korean, but "wiretapping scandal" would describe the incident much better in English than "illegal eavesdropping case". Follow-up: I went ahead and moved the article. Whether it should be merged with X-file scandal is still an open question. Tikwriter (talk) 16:02, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
