Why is this page at NO CARRIER (modem) rather than just NO CARRIER? There doesn't seem to be any other article to disambiguate... 01:29, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

It's also used, particularly on Fark, to signify that someone is suddenly being censored. I.E. their connection is suddenly severed by the powers that be. Superm401 - Talk 09:09, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There ought to be more coverage of the use in jokes. One of my favorites is related, and it just came up today:

Yip, yip, yip, yip, yip *BANG*

NO TERRIER
