Technology Conference

[edit]

Didn't NTC grow out of a smaller conference? Anyone know of a publication that addresses the history so we can include that in the article? -- Siobhan Hansa 03:56, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NTEN History

[edit]

Here's a timeline from Gavin Clabaugh, an NTEN board member emeritus.

Page name

[edit]

The title of this page is wrong. NTEN doesn’t stand for “The Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network”, it’s literally named just “NTEN”. There is no source for the acronym on the page, and the only books that state that the name is an acronym disagree - Kit Seeborg and Andrea Meyer use the acronym that’s on the page in their book,[1] but David Nour refers to it instead as the “NonProfit Technology Network”.[2] All other sources, and the organization’s own website, simply refer to the organization as NTEN. I believe we should change the name of the page to be more consistent with that literature,[3][4][5] especially when if it is an acronym, it’s uncertain what that acronym would be (though I assure you it’s not an acronym, as I work for the organization). 2605:8D80:407:39A6:698E:A632:4936:B2D (talk) 06:49, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

NTEN has published studies about nonprofit technology, and been referenced in other studies. They are heavily discussed on many other sites. See:

All of which are blogs, and are not WP:RS, thus not appropriate for determining notability. Leuko 22:21, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NTEN has been mentioned in the news as well:
