Old colors for the N Line on an episode of Kojak[edit]

I found this image of the March 6, 1974 Kojak episode "Dead On His Feet" which contains an N train with an orange bullet rather than a yellow one. Courtesy of the Internet Movie Cars Database. N Broadway Local[edit]

Thanks Mysteryman557, but then my question would be if it is called N: Broadway Local, rather than N(New York City Subway Service), why not move the page there? Is there also a naming convention that I am unaware of? I understand it can't be called "N." As I said, I am merely curious and have no ulterior motives save understanding a little more of WP. The article has been that name since it was created. It most likely is N (New York City Subway service) so people not from New York can know that it is directly related to the subway service, whereas naming the article N (Broadway Local) would not directly point that fact out, but I am not entirely sure, since I did not create the article. Reverse-peak local trains in Brooklyn[edit]

@Kew Gardens 613 and @TheMasterofAllHitmans, I noticed that you are both edit warring over this sentence in the lead. Aside from my own concerns that this should really be moved down to the Route section if it's even kept, we should discuss the dispute here rather than edit warring. Epicgenius, just to clarify, northbound D and N trains according to their current timetables, run local on the 4th Avenue Line in Brooklyn on weekday evenings after 6:45 p.m. It’s been that way since…I don’t know, can’t remember when exactly were the timetables updated reflecting that. But I believe it was as early as 2017 or so. It is rumored that the real reason is so to get the work trains out of the 36th-39th Street Yards safely without interrupting regular subway service, which is also why a few alternate D trains come out of the yard and run lite via the Culver Line to Broadway-Lafayette, where they enter regular service onward during that time around. @Kew Gardens 613, while the policy is that editors must not make more than three reverts in 24 hours, an edit war can occur with fewer reverts - as the policy says, "an edit war occurs when editors who disagree about the content of a page repeatedly override each other's contributions." Even two back-and-forth reverts could count as the beginning of an edit war, so it should have been discussed on the talk page. In any case, I think @TheMasterofAllHitmans's response resolves this issue perfectly. – Epicgenius (talk) 21:40, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
