This person is very often quoted as single "prove" that Ukrainian National Republic army performed pogroms. This information is very controversial. It is important to clarify that reference to some self-claimed soviet "historian" can not be considered a reliable source of information. It is also important to understand that Solzhenitsyn believes that Ukrainians is not a nation but sub-ethnic group of great Russian nation. Reference to Nahum Gergel violates neutral point of view

NOT a Controversy!

[edit]

Nahum Gergel was my grandfather, very soon I am going to contribute his biography to Wikipedia. The study in question was carried out by N.G. during and right after the Civil War in Ukraine. It was first published in 1928 in Berlin in Yiddish. 1951 edition (citated by A. Solzhenitsyn) is the English translation of the study published in the USA.-—Preceding unsigned comment added by VRaykin (talkcontribs)
