Proper dating of Fields Of Blue

[edit]

The article currently says that Fields Of Blue is a 1980 item. However, there are two MOMA sources listed in the article for it; one indicates specifically that it is from 1979, while the other, while listing no dates, is a press release on the museum's 50th Anniversary paper, and the museum was opened in 1929 (although certainly the anniversary celebration could have continued into the next year.) Do we have any source to contradict these two? --Nat Gertler (talk) 02:13, 20 April 2014 (UTC) Added: This source says the installation was January, 1980, but the press release was 1979. I'm not sure what proper dating is; when the art is complete, or when it is displayed. --Nat Gertler (talk) 02:18, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ah I see - do you think I should just delete the year for now or change it to "Fields of Blue" (c.1980)? BettyLondon (talk) 21:29, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think the c. date would be fine. --Nat Gertler (talk) 00:51, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
