Too many images

[edit]

This article contains too many images. Many of them need to be removed. A link to the commons cat would be sufficient.Abhishek Talk to me 16:02, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Nandi Hills, India. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Lot of the images and visual features are missing from the page. It was available till 10th Oct 2018 Edit. Each of the image has an historical significance which the history students would undergo in their education. Those photos are helpful for them to evaluate the books with the a practical image. Requesting the editors and contributors to look into the matter. We can change that section from Gallery to Image section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrEccentric (talkcontribs) 06:13, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Per the edit summaries given at the time and the WP:NOTGALLERY guideline, Wikipedia is not a repository for images with no accompanying text, context or explanation. Such a gallery would, per that guideline, not be of use to Wikipedia readers (or "history students would undergo in their education"). What such a section might be called ("images" or "gallery" or whatever) is immaterial. Guliolopez (talk) 15:37, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
