"Nanping summer is almost unbearable and the air is so nearly saturated from heavy rain that it is impossible to dry anything except over a fire. The winters are extremely cold." [2]"

I don't think that is very fair! I lived in a town close by, and it actually had 4nice seasons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.107.105.182 (talk) 06:25, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

nanping renamed to yanping

[edit]

as I understand it, nanping is a region in which historical-yanping resides and up until recently historical-yanping was known as 'nanping' because it was where the government of nanping HQ was. but now they have moved to another city so historical-yanping is once again known as yanping, and some other city in nanping is know known as nanping, where the government relocated to. to clarify historical-yanping city is still in a region called nanping but nanping city is now somewhere else in that region.

even locals here in Fujian province are confused after the rename. for example people are buying train tickets to 'nanping' wanting to go to yanping and arrive in the new nanping city of the nanping region somewhat lost 103.137.63.172 (talk) 06:29, 8 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
