Retitling "Narcissistic rage and narcissistic injury"[edit]

I've re-titled this article as "Narcissistic injury" which is a broader topic than

Narcissistic rage (one, of many reactions to narcissistic injury) and (extreme) narcissistic injury (which has a spectrum of injury levels which can occur in people who are not pathologically narcissistic as well as those who are).

All of text from the prior article was transferred over with a little reorganization. The article will need work to represent the full range of injury and the multitude of reactions and defences. It currently contains a lot of over detailed psychology narratives without much context or perspective that need to be organized and culled. Wiki-psyc (talk) 19:06, 3 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reference Number 5[edit]

Reference 5 links to an article about evolutionary theory entitled "The Facts of Life" which makes absolutely no mention of Narcissistic injury, narcissism nor Adam Phillips.

Should it be removed? Phytographer (talk) 04:09, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kohut mentioned without context or citation[edit]

In the final section of the page, the psychoanalyst Kohut is mentioned in a way that suggests his writings and ideas have already been introduced and discussed. However, this is in fact the first mention of Kohut. Perhaps his work should be cited here, and perhaps more context could be provided either here or earlier in the article. I completely agree; it's odd the way it's currently mentioned. There must have been some text that was removed previously. As a small start, I have added a link to the article about him and requested clarification about which concepts the sentence refers to. Jhertel (talk) 17:36, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
