Maybe...and I don't know how to do this...but maybe this page should be renamed "Nathan of Breslov." Isn't he more commonly known as such? --Yodamace1 17:56, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

He is most commonly known as "Reb Nosson." But I would support a name change to Nathan of Breslov simply because it would stand out more on the Breslov page and get people to look at it, to find out who "else" lived in Breslov besides Rebbe Nachman. Yoninah 20:49, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

He is known as both, depending on whether you are reading Breslov materials or more general historical materials. Also depends on what part of his life you are talking about. He was "of Nemirov" during Rebbe Nachman's lifetime, amd did not become known as "of Breslov" until he assumed the mantle of leadership after the Rebbe died. If the name of the page is changed, there should be a cross reference (disambiguation? I'm still unclear of all the terms for these things) with "Nathan of Nemirov" so that this info is not lost altogether. There will be non-Breslov scholars searching for "Nathan of Nemirov." The dream[edit]

I deleted the dream altogether. The reason I put it in in the beginning was because the way the article was written seemed to demand it. Now I left only factual information about his life. Yoninah 14:46, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
