untitled[edit]
Someone should extra the data from the discovery documentary Most Evil which featured Bar Jonah for 15 minutes and had some great insight into his God-driven life. "hangon"
FYI These are all facts!!!
This is all truthful information. Bar Jonah is a convicted child sex killer. It is also a solid fact that he cooked hamburgers out of his victim, and then the McKid burgers to his mother and neighbors. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rhombusgroup (talk • contribs) 19:26, 14 June 2006 UTC.
- I'll remove the delete.
- By writing in a sensational style, you make the article unencylopaedic - and therefore liable to be read as an attack. Dweller 18:53, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
- Do not remove the delete tag: if you want to keep the article, add the hangon tag. Eubulide
- I've removed the delete tag, as I think the article can be salvaged. I'm just in the process of looking for a good source, feel free to let me know if you find one. EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 19:24, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
- N.B. The comments above are NOT "all facts". Bar Jonah has never been convicted of murder and it is not proven that he committed any of the unpleasant acts of cannibalism. Dweller 10:30, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
- Not only has he never been convicted of murder, he has never been tried for murder, according to the book "Death by Cannibal" published in 2006. The author initially covered the Bar-Jonah story for The National Enquirer. B3nnic33 15:37, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- I edited this page earlier today, adding that Bar-Jonah had passed away on April 12. I now see that my revisions were undone. Please explain why. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.60.171.162 (talk) 02:22, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Name is Nathaneal Bar Jonah, not Nathaniel Bar Jonah[edit]
Dr. John C. Espy writes in "Eat the Evidence: A Journey Through the Dark Boroughs of a Pedophilic Cannibal's Mind" on page 4, the following:
"David Paul Brown, who on March 22, 1984 changed his name to Nathaneal Benjamin Levi Bar Jonah..."
This is usage is repeated innumerable times throughout the book, and never is Nathaniel used. Also, a picture of one of Bar Jonah's own flyers for his "teddy bear, cast metal, and collectable [sic] toy show" is shown on page 121 of the book, and he himself has his name spelled Nathaneal Bar Jonah. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:40D:C102:7840:CD0D:C6C4:B1CF:5B51 (talk) 03:11, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- The New York Times and the Associated Press seem to disagree. General Ization Talk 03:14, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
Bar Jonah himself spelled it Nathaneal; they are only spelling it "Nathaniel" because that is the conventional way that name is spelled, but his legal name was Nathaneal, not Nathaniel. Dr. John Espy personally communicated with Bar Jonah, has written 3 books about him, and culled his information from hundreds of hours of interviews.
- Bar-Jonah could spell it any way he wanted, but apparently his legally registered first name was Nathaniel. I think we can agree that
the state ofSupreme Court of Montana would not have misspelled his legal name in deciding his 2004 appeal. General Ization Talk 03:33, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
...EAL is factually the correct spelling and the one Bar Jonah used when writing his name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.183.119.23 (talk) 22:14, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
If you go on this documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLg_t3RETG4 look at time 6:37, which shows Bar Jonah's driver's license. You will note that his name is spelled Nathanael Bar Jonah. So apparently the Montana Supreme Court did misspell his name (this wouldn't be hard given the extensive faulty use of "Nathaniel" by the news media prior to the trial). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:40D:C102:7840:741D:5776:75B:6475 (talk) 05:04, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
