External link labeled "LA Times" was pointed at "messmedia.org" rebroadcasting LA Times article. Article at messmedia differed in title and had an additional caption not contained in original article, modified presentation of original article. Removal of section on wrongdoing?[edit]

Why does someone keep on removing the section on wrongdoing by NICA, when it's factually true? At least talk about the charges. Here is the beginning of an article from the San Diego Union-Tribune: "Executives at a Massachusetts-based company that provides insurance and tax services for courier firms in San Diego County and elsewhere have been charged with defrauding the California workers' compensation insurance fund. The San Diego County District Attorney's Office has issued a 50-count indictment against Thomas M. They keep removing it as they are still in business and scamming people who are forced to "join" their for profit corporation by employers who are intentionally misclassifying employees as independent contractors with NICA help, and getting away with it. 47.136.220.19 (talk) 18:07, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Restoration of section on wrongdoing[edit]

I have brought back the section on the indictments and settlement. If the article as a whole is in wikipedia, this information should be in as well. It is well documented, and the references are included. The article as a whole should remain because misclassification of employees as independent contractors is an important topic. Kevin Carhart

NICA people tried to send documentation of their arrests down the memory hole[edit]

You don't say - the section on controversy and criticism was removed in 2011 by the IP 108.7.66.42, which is the IP for NICA. Kevin Carhart
