Revisions[edit]

Seeking to propose updates to this page but I have a COI as I am employed by the organisation, so offering suggestions for other editors to consider:

Done Paul W (talk) 13:33, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Current Studies: Suggest this section is removed as the organisation routinely has three or four concurrent studies underway, so this section might create an unnecessary burden for editors
Done as part of wider reorganisation of section into Activities Paul W (talk) 14:16, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reports: The Regulation Study currently cited in 'Current Studies' was published in October 2019 with the title ‘Strategic investment and public confidence’ (https://nic.org.uk/studies-reports/regulation/).
  • A description might be something like “This October 2019 report explored the future of the UK’s model of regulation for energy, water and telecoms, and proposes how regulators, industry and government might adapt to face the coming challenges of achieving net zero, adapting to changing weather patterns, and increasing digitalisation.”
Done added NIC link to study but also found citation from independent publication regarding headline findings. (In general, I think this article needs more non-NIC sources reporting on its activities). Paul W (talk) 14:16, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done with added BBC citation. Paul W (talk) 14:26, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Of course I leave it to more experienced editors to decide on best course of action but I hope this is helpful. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.Bajwilson (talk) 13:00, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Done Used GOV.UK for citation Paul W (talk) 15:20, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks for taking the time to review so comprehensively, Paul, sure readers will appreciate it. Bajwilson (talk) 15:34, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Again proposing some factual updates to this page but have a COI as I am employed by the article organisation.

Suggesting some factual updates, again noting my COI as an employee:

  • Commissioners: Bridget Rosewell left the Commission in January 2023 [1] and Michèle_Dix was appointed in October 2023 [2]
  • James Richardson (listed under 'executives') departed as chief economist during 2023[3] Bajwilson (talk) 12:48, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Correct name of organisation[edit]

The correct name of this organisation is the National Infrastructure Commission not the UK National Infrastructure Commission. While other UK organisations may include UK as part of their names - the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, for example - the NIC does not. Paul W (talk) 18:32, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
