Closure date[edit]

I am not sure why the date is so precisely given here (source?), but the rest of the Bridgewater line seems to have closed in April 1987, so why was this one apparently kept open until September? JabberJawJAPAN talk 14:14, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly to do with whatever act of parliament had to been enacted for the station to the formally closed as opposed to no longer used. Bullgold14 (talk) 03:34, 10 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

::I though something similar (i.e. the station may have been kept open longer as it was the last and nearest station to Belair - which was not closing), but have not seen any evidence to support either. The line guide (on the main Bridgewater railway line page) states it was closed in April, so I would argue for standardising the date to then. Interestingly State_Transport_Authority_(South_Australia)#Chronology states more than once that the closure date for the line is 26 July 1987. JabberJawJAPAN talk 14:02, 10 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Moving the discussion focus toTalk:Bridgewater railway line, as I have now found 3 dates for line/station closures in use ATM. JabberJawJAPAN talk 14:35, 10 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
