Untitled[edit]

The entry "Christeen (oyster sloop)" is listed on this page as being in Essex Harbor, in Middlesex. However, is that the boat which is in Oyster Bay, New York? See Christeen (sloop). Did one sloop operate in both NY and CT, or are they two separate boats?doncram 04:33, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

3 places named Main Street Historic District in same list[edit]

Altho there are many places nationwide named Main Street Historic District, it is unusual to have 3 in one county NRHP list, as here. It is necessary to pipelink to 3 separate articles, and further to display something different for each one. I did that, e.g. displaying Main Street Historic District (Middletown) for one. In this edit, Nyttend suggests a different way, displaying Main Street Historic District (Middletown), instead. But I don't think that works: it displays what appears to be the same bluelink for all three, while it needs to show something different. It appears to suggest if you click you'll go to a combo article about all three. I appreciate the suggestion, but don't think it works. Nyttend, do you mind switching it back? Or can anyone else comment here please? doncram (talk) 03:46, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree — because the listing name doesn't include the name of the community, I don't think that it should be included. I really don't think that we need to have the name of the community in the left column at all, since the reader can easily see the community in the "City of Town" right column. If we add the community name in the left column, we need to make it as clear as possible that the NRIS listing name does not include the name of the community. All this is to say cordially — I don't think it's the best idea, so I'll not revert myself. Nyttend (talk) 16:00, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

development and /drafts[edit]

Hey, development of this list-article and component NRHP places is proceeding along.

There are now rough drafts for articles on NRHP places in this county, ready to be cut-and-pasted and then developed further, at /drafts.

To check recent changes of NRHP articles in this county, click on: Recent changes, which is based up the corresponding /draftnames list of article names.

Is anyone else working here? I'd be happy to see others adding to what i start up in articles.... Cheers, --doncram (talk) 18:12, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Probably not updated in a while[edit]

I notice almost nothing in the list with recent date listed. Here's at least one on the Register that is missing: File:CAPTAIN BENJAMIN WILLIAMS HOUSE, MIDDLETOWN, MIDDLESEX COUNTY, CT.jpg. - Jmabel | Talk 01:49, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
