Update

[edit]

Per WP:V and WP:RS, I've tried to update the list in an attempt to resolve periodic conflicts regarding which "nations" should appear in the list (e.g. Palestine and the various countries/territories that either make up the UK or are associated with it). Please comment if you think other changes need to be addressed. Location (talk) 01:58, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regional records

[edit]

Found table in IAAF noting records by regions (similar regions used by FIFA). Included them here as they relate more towards the national records, more so than world record progression. Also, may serve as a good summary for the entire national records tables. KyuuA4 (Talk:キュウ) 21:11, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IAAF is now World Athletics

[edit]

Much of this article and the links are now outdated with references to IAAF rather than World Athletics. I will attempt to update some references but further work is likely needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MichaelObst (talkcontribs) 05:17, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
