Proposed split[edit]

This page covers two unrelated topics, each important in their own area. In addition the term is used in several other countries, e.g. Malaysia and Mexico, with yet more unrelated meanings. I propose splitting this into National school (England and Wales) and National school (Ireland), moving the present page to the latter to preserve history, and introducing a disambiguation page. Gaelscoileanna[edit]

Are gaelscoileanna National Schools? I know they are primary schools, but I was under the impression that the National School system is different to the Gaelscoil system? 79.97.64.240 (talk) 13:07, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
