It appears this is hunting? Or is there another meaning? Is this a game/game hunting? --ARoseWolf 21:39, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to be a hunting-based "regal sport", leading to the usage of "play". I've added the link. twsabin 21:58, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@ARoseWolf: I noticed that the article is an orphan now, after this change (link) to the Nizam's article, which was the only article linking here. twsabin 22:25, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Twsabin is a half knowledge person without knowing the history of Hyderabad dignitaries and he always looks for a reference to context — Preceding unsigned comment added by 106.195.69.131 (talk) 07:31, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Peter, would you kindly clarify your keep !vote that you made in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nawab Mir Khudrath Nawaz Jung Bahadur, which led to this article not being deleted. I'm mainly interested in the following:

  • what were you able to learn about this topic at the time you were making that comment, and from which source or sources?
  • what did you mean by "one of his ministers"?

Alalch E. 18:52, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • I know little of the subject. My understanding is that a nawab is some kind of prince or ruler. Since many of the British nobility have articles, I was seeking to raise the question of an equivalent policy on Indian ones. I was seeking to query the nomination, in the hope that someone with more knowledge could say more. I only voted 'weak keep', and I see the closure was as no consensus. Perhaps I am wrong, but a senior officer of the ruler of a major princely state may well be notable. The article at present is a mere stub, and needs improvement. Tagging it for that is usually better than deletion. Peterkingiron (talk) 11:48, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
