No merge[edit]

I dont see the point in merging the two articles. Naxalbari is a village, Naxalite is a political denomination. Thus two articles. The info in this article is either already covered in other articles or extremly POV. Perhaps there should be a 3rd article called Naxalbari Uprising. --Soman 18:16, 25 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Soman is perfectly correct - Naxalbari is a geographical location, Naxalite indicates a person following a particular type of political philosophy and theory and Naxalbari Uprising indicates an armed uprising by peasants which started in Naxalbari. Three articles with appropriate contents are required. --Bhadani 12:47, 7 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

original gloss[edit]

Could we please add the original gloss and the IPA for the name? I am particularly puzzled by how the letter ‘x’ got into the name, and how it should be pronounced. – Kaihsu (talk) 10:02, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
