pic of Nazko River

[edit]

I'm not in the mood to do the necessary work, but I found a picture in BC Archives that can be used for illustrating a Nazko River article when it's finally made. It's not a great pic but it does show the size of the river as it curves in the left side of the frame, near some meadows which are the subject of the picture. The picture dates from 1931, and was apparently taken in a survey of "pastured forests" for the Ministry of Forests and Lands (or whatever it was called at the time). As it was shot in 1931, it's entirely in the public domain (once stripped of its BCGNIS frame).Skookum1 (talk) 01:54, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nazko Jamboree

[edit]

Last I knew it's held on the August long weekend, it's one of BC's many Indian rodeos; don't know for how many years it's existed; I was on my way to ArtsWells at Wells and met some people loading a pickup of supplies for it who invited me; but it's (or was) at the same time as ArtsWells, which I was committed to and is on the same weekend - the August 1st holiday, whatever it's called now (BC Day). Had a look for citations just now, can't find one; unless it's on that community site already in the refs.Skookum1 (talk) 02:56, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not a city

[edit]

I don't know what Nazko is but it is not a city, and it does not appear on the List of cities in British Columbia, which is linked to in the infobox. Village? Hamlet? Geordie (talk) 12:18, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
