Is he related (distantly or otherwise) to Warren Beatty? - Grammaticus Repairo 03:14, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

POV

[edit]

There are a number of phrasings that are clearly POV or blurby. Adding in that the article is poorly written, including a number of elementary language errors, I strongly suggest a re-write. 94.220.254.168 (talk) 17:53, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free that the best part of wikipedia, you can do it yourself... RP459 (talk) 00:29, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changes

[edit]

Dear gentlemen from wikipedia, I tried to make some changes regarding the making of Deliverance, based on an interview Mr. Bill McKinney interview to Bristol News back in 2004, I believe. Anyway, I tried to make the changes, and they were edited out, and then I tried to insert them again. I just wanted to say that I wasn't trying to make vandalism to the page, as I am a user of wikipedia and respect you gentlemen. I am sorry if my way of handling myself caused trouble. I promise to take a better read about this site's guidelines. Please accept my apologies, and understand I never tried to be a vandal, over here. I am sorry about this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aryluizdalazen (talkcontribs) 22:04, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There were a lot of inappropriate (trivial or ambiguous) wikilinks in the "Role" column of the Filmography table. Film characters should only be wikilinked if they are noteable, i.e., a real, noteable person (e.g. Judge Roy Bean), or a fictional character noteable enough for his own article (e.g., Otis (Superman). Also, if he plays a character who happens to dress as Santa Claus but is not supposed to be the "real" Santa Claus, that shouldn't be linked either (Angel Square). In fact, the article doesn't even note that he dressed as Santa, so it isn't even noteable enough to mention. JustinTime55 (talk) 18:41, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If memory serves, he was in the film 'White Lightning', 1971, thus 'Deliverance' was not his film debut. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Biwwie (talkcontribs) 01:38, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dead Beatty?

[edit]

Someone keeps vandalizing the page with false information about Ned Beatty's death. I'm a relative newbie to Wikipedia, but can maybe this article just be locked until they quit vandalizing the page? Caseyroberson (talk) 22:35, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

He's dead now. He died this passed June 13. Xfhxzf (talk) 20:32, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Excessive list of films

[edit]

This edit is essentially a laundry list of films with no inclusion criteria and no justification for their inclusion or exclusion. This is not the way to pad the lede section; the filmography already exists for a list of his acting work. Elizium23 (talk) 14:19, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
