Meaning[edit]

It is entirely possible i am putting mine ignorance on display but...i went to simplify the language a bit, and i have absolutely no idea what Tamil Nadu’s nodal agency for investment promotion and single window facilitation is supposed to mean. I understand all the words (i think), but how they are fitting together is beyond me; does the author (or anyone else) care to explain? Thanks, happy days, LindsayHello 12:06, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Lindsay, thanks for your contribution on this article. Guidance Tamil Nadu is nodal agency for investment promotion for that state Tamil Nadu through Government of Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu is a state in India, like different states in USA having their state governments exercising functions of government at a level below that of the federal government. Guidance Tamil Nadu acts as a government agency to facilitate foriegn direct investment in the state (Tamil Nadu) in India.Ganeshrajv (talk) 07:01, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, i fully understand what Tamil Nadu is, and its government, and states and so on. I don't understand what a "nodal agency" can possibly be, nor does "single window facilitation" mean anything to me other than the process of making it easier to open solitary glass-covered gaps in a wall. Can you please explain what you mean? LindsayH 14:20, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
The very name of 'Single Window Facilitation' doesn't literally relate to 'Window pane/glass' in a wall. Here the word window is a metaphor to portal, actually the wording should sound more like 'Single portal facilitation for Investors'. The single portal helps investors such as business & industries to get approval from the government in an easier way, through online, It enhances the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) ranking of the state.Ganeshrajv (talk) 14:32, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New page review[edit]

Regarding the article's notability, the provided sources are virtually all routine or very brief coverage, and as such falls short of WP:GNG, although the subject appears to be important. I've added a paid tag to the article, as the article is still essentially written like a resume. signed, Rosguill talk 02:03, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The article has clearly mentioned the required citations for the notability of the subject and maintained a neutral view point on writing this article. Also on the paid tag to the article, It has been peer reviewed by other users and certain parts of the article has been abridged, deleted & added accordingly. As an user, I have given the nature of my work in my user description but since I am not directly compensated for doing the article from the notable person, adding a paid tag to the article would be irrelevant.Ganeshrajv (talk) 15:57, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
