The content on this page is confusing and redundant[edit]

Negative differential Resistance is redundant terminology. When one considers the incremental resistance of a non-linear device it is obvious that the measurement is made in a finite region. So Negative differential resistance means the same thing as negative resistance. It's like calling an "alarm clock" an "alarm clock time-keeper". Zen-in (talk) 01:14, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Redirected to Negative Resistance[edit]

In Electrical Engineering the term differential refers to a pair of terminals that have signals that are centered about 0 Volts. This page previously was redirected to Negative Resistance. That was correct because passive components are not considered to be differential. Later content was placed on this page which is not appropriate for an encyclopedia and was technically wrong. For those reasons the earlier re-direct of this page to negative resistance has been restored.Zen-in (talk) 01:27, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article contains info that is not on the negative resistance page and a slightly-different orientation. Also, IIRC, negative differential resistance is a term of art in the field of amorphous semiconductors. Pproctor (talk) 04:03, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
