Move to Negoro-shuu?

[edit]

I haven't read the Turnbull source, but I'm pretty sure the name is wrong. Looking at Japanese Wikipedia, Negoro-gumi (https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%A0%B9%E6%9D%A5%E7%B5%84) was a group of 100 fire-arms warriors ordered to fight for the central government after Negoro itself was defeated by Oda Nobunaga. The warrior monks that were active before the defeat were called Negoro-shuu (https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%A0%B9%E6%9D%A5%E8%A1%86). Since the English article talks about tens of thousands of soldiers fighting against Nobunaga, I think it is talking about Negoro-shuu. However, I don't have the referenced book, and can't check what Turnbull is saying.Ornilnas (talk) 23:17, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
