Untitled[edit]

An article under this title was deleted in the past because it referred to the recent US American pejorative term. The meaning pertinent to the French movement of the early 19th century is unrelated to this, and it (viz., the translation of French néo-catholique) appears to be the term's primary meaning outside of the ongoing debate on US Catholic blogs and websites. The French term is in the 1906 edition of Petit Larousse [1]. It is currently linked in this sense from the Henri Bergson and the André-Marie Ampère, and mentioned without wikilinks at Eliphas Levi, Frédéric Ozanam, Insatiability(?). The related(?) mid-19th century usage in Spanish (es:Neocatólico) is found in Luis de Llauder y Dalmases, José Díez de la Cortina y Olaeta, Francisco Elías de Tejada y Spínola. Entirely unrelated usages are found in Chris Marker, Konkani language. --dab (𒁳) 13:23, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
