AMK152's Geotimeboxes[edit]

AMK152 proposed in edits of 27 December 2006 a geotimebox for this article as follows:

Eon: Hadean • Archean • Proterozoic
Era: Mesoarchean • Neoarchean • Paleoproterozoic

I feel that the box information that is appropriate for the article is already in the Neoarchean infobox and the footer, and that other extraneous information, such as susequent eons, can be supplied where important, by links from the text. I removed the geotimebox and left the footer, pending discussion. See discussion at Template talk:Geotimebox --Bejnar 19:57, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

2.7 Ga Archaea[edit]

Archaea separated from the other two domains in 2.7 Ga: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/08/070820175435.htm Rursus dixit. (mbork3!) 19:34, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Content expansion and restructuring/Source additions[edit]

The article is in dire need of expansion in terms of content. I would add developments that occurred during the era that led to environmental changes in future eras as well as include updates to changes made in previous eras. I would also want to improve some of the structure of sections, as the writing is somewhat clunky and seems out of order. For example, the complex life sections started with the abundance of oxygen released through exygenic photosynthesis and ended with the photoautotrophs that had released that oxygen from earlier in the era. Also, even with the limited amount of information in the article, the entire complex life section isn't cited by any sources. -Tdaniels38 (talk) 01:35, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
