Notes on other genres[edit]

Some other genres I have seen mentioned around the internet but not in enough depth to reference or around which to build a stub (yet) are:

Above to be added to the article if and when more information can be found. - AdamBMorgan (talk) 16:44, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Filk[edit]

I have not been able to find anything explicit about the relationship between filk and the rest of nerd music. From what I've gathered, the difference is the same as between, for example, fan fiction and pro fiction but nothing I've seen actually states this clearly. It is definitely considered part of fan labor, like fan fiction, but there is no clear line separating it from the other genres, or otherwise categorising it, so I haven't been able to add anything to the article(s) concerned yet. - AdamBMorgan (talk) 16:44, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Brony Music[edit]

It seems odd to me that Wizard and Time Lord rock get their own articles, while Brony Music is only a single paragraph on the fandom page. From what I've seen Brony Music is a far more notable phenomenon than Time Lord rock, where Chameleon Circuit is the only notable act. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:A601:A927:1900:E537:1C17:16E1:2B4 (talk) 04:32, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

More Articles[edit]

Could someone make articles for these genres?

Nerd Genre[edit]

I've reverted a recent edit that said Weird Al is "often referred to as the king of nerd music" because it wasn't referenced (the footnote anchor was never defined). Even if it was referenced, a single writer using that term doesn't establish "often referred to". -- Mikeblas (talk) 00:53, 24 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
