This is, and is not, a "fan page" for the show. I started this page as a record of the 8 episode series because I am a fan of the 'concept' of the show.

  • It brings people together who might otherwise not have been sporting people.
  • It promotes sport at a time when there is considerable social effort to get people to play sport and thereby avoid medical complications of inactivity.
  • It leads into the 2006 World Cup on the Football TV Channel in Australia.
  • etcetera.

And, yes, I tracked down Trent Apted's academic web page and sent an email; and, mine was his FIRST 'fan email'. Peter Ellis 10:20, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fans of Nerds FC... I am almost certainly *not* going to be able to put the commentary up for the final show shown on Australian TV on 2 June 2006. Who will fill in for me? Please step forward! Peter Ellis 10:29, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I've noticed that to access this page you need to type FC in capitals, and if you do it as nerds fc (lower case) then the page doesn't come up. Is there a way to redirect to this page or something as people like myself who are too lazy to use shift / caps lock in their searches might not be able to find it.

This appears to be resolved. McLake 13:13, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PS what happened against Melbourne I missed it?!?!?! James 24 87 03:01, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

help

[edit]

does anyone know the names of the two fashion ladies in episode 6?

Thanks

Even the lads on the show have forgotten them, hahahahaa

Well I have any way

I haven't -- Suzanne and Tamara are their names; Tamara has red hair. I think those names are obscure enough not to link them with the "real" people. Unlike a Google Australia search for Trent.

Merchandise?

[edit]

Merchandise? Does there really need to be a section? I don't think so. Thus I'm going to be bold. (See also the appropriate policies regarding commercialism.) ~AFA ʢűčķ¿Ю 15:00, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion / removal of 2007 information

[edit]

On 8 May 2007, User:McLake either reverted of removed details from the page. He is also a self-confessed member of the 2007 Nerds FC team. I believe that his reasons were spurious (sorry) as the details are available on the internet, so I have reinstated the details and added more that are now publicly available now on SBS TV. - Peter Ellis - Talk 10:23, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did remove the details beacuse at that time SBS had not begun premoting indvidual members of the show. I am completly happy that the content is again available. I will be adding to it myself soon. I am sorry I removed your edit, and appriciate your continued updating of the page. McLake 10:46, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
