Section: Sir Edmund Prideaux, 5th Baronet (1675–1729)[edit]

It would be helpful to have an article on this member of the Prideaux family. The section in this article raises more questions than it answers.

Firstly, the 5th Baronet was the son of Sir Edmund Prideaux, 4th Baronet, but who was his mother? The article on the 4th Baronet mentions that both of his first two wives had children, but gives no names.

Secondly, who was the father of Sir John Prideaux, the 6th Baronet (1695-1766)? There are three possibilities in the article on Sir Peter Prideaux, 3rd Baronet.

This section details the life of Anne Prideaux, but says very little about the 5th Baronet himself, not even whom he married. I am even left assuming that Anne Prideaux is his daughter and not the daughter of his first cousin.

I am not in a position to check any sources except those available on the internet, and then only those for which the URLs are up to date.

My questions are raised out of genuine curiosity, and are not meant to be unkind.
