Singles or single albums

[edit]

I think that the upcoming Korean release is a single album, as per Billboard and NME. ADOR's official statement mention that the release will have four tracks (two songs with instrumental versions), which is what single albums often contain. As for the Japanese release, single albums don't exist outside Korea so not including Supernatural under single albums is understandable.ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 19:14, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The press release does not say single albums, just "singles". Anyway, we will just have to wait and see if they release info on the physical edition, in that case it could be a single album since singles in Korea usually don't have a physical version. Now that it's confirmed that How Sweet has a physical release, that suggests that it's a single album for the reason you stated, right? Flabshoe1 (talk) 19:23, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think the best indication of whether it's a single album or single is if it charts on the Circle Album Chart. Once it does next week then it should be safe to categorize it as a single album. George13lol2 (talk) 03:46, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It has been included in the Circle Album chart, hence, considered a single album. Please edit the article.Jmouritz127 (talk) 07:23, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Any physical release can chart on the Circle Album Chart so that alone does not really classify something as a "single album", "single" or something else. Since ADOR has consistently used "double singles" for this release, it's perhaps equivalent to a double A-side in the Western and Japanese music industries. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 07:36, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In Korea, a double A-side simply refers to a single album. Multiple third-party sources such as Billboard and NME have referred to How Sweet as a single album. Additionally, it has separate chart run and sales on the Circle Album Chart which are currently not being reflected on the discography page. Flabshoe1 (talk) 20:07, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Now that "Supernatural" has been released and charted on both the Circle Album Chart and Digital Chart, should it also be categorized as a single album. George13lol2 (talk) 11:18, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
