Hit Me Off

[edit]

So did the song hit #1 or #6 on the Pop chart? On the discography graph it says #1 but if you click on the song, the info page says #6, —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 152.23.79.15 (talk) 15:59, 29 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

N.W.A.

[edit]

So... How exactly is this band related in any way (other than race) to N.W.A.??? 206.248.170.205 (talk) 23:40, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Studio Album 8

[edit]

Studio album 8 may not be released until 2009. I found that out on the New Edition Fan Club. No one is sure when album will be released but when I find I will let Wikipedia know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasonsingerling (talkcontribs) 21:53, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Change to members section

[edit]

Hello, I am going to propose a change to the "Members" section. It will replace both the "Members" and "Lineup chronology" section by merging both into one. I will use a wikitable instead of an image so that it can be easily maintained and regularly updated. I created this table using information from the article as it stands. As more information (and citations) become available, this can be fixed. I ordered the members based on, roughly, who joined first vs. who left first. In cases where members share the exact same time in the band, like Bell and Bivins, I used alphabetical order. I put "HIATUS" in 1991-1995 because the article describes this time as a hiatus and not a break-up of the group. If citations show different, then that can be easily changed. If there are any objections, please state them below. Thanks! I helpdןǝɥ I 05:12, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is successful, the future of Template:New Edition timeline needs to be discussed. I helpdןǝɥ I 05:23, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If the template is used, I'm going to update it. I helpdןǝɥ I 06:05, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Bobby Brown's departure

[edit]

The article formerly said:

Under pressure from MCA and their management, the group voted Bobby Brown out in December 1985, due to behavioral problems.

And this was cited to:

  • "Bobby Brown Bio – Bobby Brown Career". Vh1.com. Archived from the original on November 30, 2002.
  • "Bobby Brown". Billboard.com.

But neither of these sources says that Brown was voted out of New Edition at all, much less for behavioral problems. Due to WP:BLP problems, I just removed this sentence altogether. -- Metropolitan90 (talk) 02:51, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
