The RD prose needs cleanup.
The part about the sign theft and the route change is not properly sourced.

[1] verifies the route change was due to sign theft, but does not provide the year.
[2] provides the year and the basis, but could be a SPS (I couldn't find any info on the Moore Publishing Company of Durham, NC).
