Article Scope
[edit]Page created from former redirect to Bearsden, to have a space to pull together information relating to the historical parish of New Kilpatrick, as well as the current church in Bearsden. As such, many pages relating to areas in West Glasgow and East Dumbartonshire can link to this page. Other related uses of the name New Kilpatrick could be placed in a relevant subsection. Some suggestions
[edit]Much improved. Length, or lack of it should not be a problem for a GA - the question should be "is the subject covered comprehensively?".
You'd also need to do these fixes:
- all web citations will need a page name, publisher and access date.
- all book references will need a page number
- links should be added to image descriptions.
- don't set image sizes
- move "The map can be viewed here" etc. to an "External links" section at the end or make them actual references. "Due to copyright, these are provided here as external links." is a no-no stylistically. The name of this section should be "Maps" or similar.
In the lead "It is also an alternative, disused name for the town of Bearsden" makes it sound as if it might be redundant to Bearsden. Don't embolden "Bearsden".
"Lawburrows" is a wonderful word - you could add a sentence or two about what it means or readers might get distracted....

- Fixes completed, but not sure if the links I added to image descriptions are exactly what was meant. I'm not sure that removing the set size on the top image is best. As the key image for the article, several other GA's set an image size where appropriate, e.g. Picts. (Wikiwayman (talk) 12:51, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
