Currently[edit]

I tagged the word currently in the lead sentence with the When template, with the reason that Currently is a timeless vague word that does not explain when this event happened in the past. However, this issue was not addressed by the next edit by UpdateNerd when the tag was removed. I now have added the Clarify timeframe template because, perhaps the meaning of the previous tag was too subtle to be appreciated; yet I do not think a full Lead rewrite tag is warranted.

Wikipedia articles need to use precise language. The Manual of Style explains that CURRENTLY is a relative time reference that will become OUTDATED, quickly. Using it in the OPENING paragraph, particularly the FIRST sentence, suggest to the casual reader in me that it may be TOO SOON to read this article. The LEAD section needs to explain the subject's notability and justify why this article belongs in Wikipedia. Wikipedia is NOT about the news, so should not be written like the news. The opening paragraph should provide an accessible overview of the article's topic and highlight its most important and notable points. DO NOT TEASE the reader to read the article with a sensational snippet of information in the lead, like a newspaper would. Instead, explain why this article is notable, FIRST, before saying who was involved, what happened, as well as when and where it all took place.

To most of the world, these investigations of the Trump organisation are buried in the background noise of news. So it is important to inform the readers, up front, why these investigations are notable and what events precipitated them being started in the first place. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 01:46, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Content fork remediation[edit]

This set of articles had the worst case of WP:REDUNDANTFORK I've seen in nearly 18 years of editing Wikipedia. I took the following steps to fix this:

May 2024 prosecutor pleads fifth[edit]

Trump Prosecutor Mark Pomerantz pleads fifth when asked if he broke the law investigating Trump.

This is very relevant, as it gives reasonable doubt to the entire prosecution. It should be included.
