Fair use rationale for Image:NewZealandFootballChampionship.jpg

[edit]

Image:NewZealandFootballChampionship.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Quality Scale

[edit]

I've done a lot of work on this page since its last rating, and as such have removed the previous rating since the article is now rather different. If anyone wishes to re-rate it, please feel free to do so. Gialloneri (talk) 13:14, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page title

[edit]

I've moved ASB Premiership back to the former name of New Zealand Football Championship. The reason's quite simply a pragmatic one - sports sponsorships being what they are, the official name of the competition will probably change repeatedly, but it still likely be known gfenerically as the championship, in exactly the same was as England's premier league has been and still is at Premier League rather than being moved between FA Carling Premiership, Barclaycard Premiership, Barclays Premiership, and Barclays Premier League. There's still a redirect in place from the ASB name, so it's not likely to confuse anyone. Grutness...wha? 09:51, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, but has name not technically changed from Football Championship to Premiership? ie. 'New Zealand Premiership'. I don't know myself. Xenomorph1984 (talk) 11:48, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hm. Good question - more investigation might be needed on that. Grutness...wha? 21:50, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps a Related Competitions section is required. This would help the flow of the article. To include the following sub-sections the OFC Champions League, ASB Phoenix Challenge, ASB National Youth League, White Ribbon Cup. Any additional competitions relevant? Thoughts?--TinTin (talk) 05:46, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Current clubs - edit required?

[edit]

The "Current Clubs" section contains a reference to NZ U20s playing at North Harbour Stadium. This should possibly be changed to YoungHeart Manawatu with their home ground listed as Memorial Park, Palmerston North and the current head coach as Stu Jacobs.

These details sourced from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YoungHeart_Manawatu

I also feel that the "History" section reads like a "season review" at times, rather than a factual account of the history of the league. It also only describes up to the 2009/10 season and so is somewhat out of date. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Diddy1960 (talkcontribs) 09:57, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
