Complete rewrite/contradictory
[edit]According to my sources (The Lovecraft Lexicon ISBN 1-5618-4129-3 p. 137, Discovering H.P. Lovecraft ISBN 1-5871-5470-6 p. 115), Nicolas Remy is a French judge from the 16th century who presided over witchcraft trials. Thus, the "Note" section seems to contain the most accurate information and should be merged (IMO) into the article. Nonetheless, the article should be based on verifiable sources; the sources I listed above contain only scant details about this person and would not serve well as references — what is needed is a detailed biographical source.

More Sources Needed
[edit]Although this article seems to be well-written, it has very few sources and citations. Is it possible for someone who knows more about Nicholas Remy - or, even better, has access to respectable sources about him - adds more references, please?
