Article moved[edit]

Sorry about the move[edit]

I requested the article be moved over to AfC (see Wikipedia talk:Article Incubator#Arbitrary break) as I was concerned about it being deleted. I failed to notice that Unscintillating (talk · contribs) had invited others to work on the article. That's my mistake and I apologize. I guess I'll be working on the article sooner than I expected as I'm still concerned about the recent deletions and the possible closing of the incubator. Any help improving the article is greatly appreciated. Thanks. 64.40.54.171 (talk) 01:36, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The reason I got involved with the article is because it had not been edited since 2012-06-19, which was over a year.  The purpose of the Greenhouse discussion is to give attention to the article and decide what to do with it, other than to leave it sitting here, so your input here is welcome.  I'll have some time over the weekend to work on the article more, so I think the Greenhouse discussion should be extended for at least a week.  Unscintillating (talk) 00:15, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Major updates[edit]

I'm going to do some major updates to the article (especially with referencing), so if anybody has a concern please leave a message here. Thanks. 64.40.54.20 (talk) 01:54, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Questions[edit]

I'm copying some stuff here that I don't undrestand while I update the article.

Why is "The Leonardo Variations" wikilinked to "Clarion Workshop"" 64.40.54.20 (talk) 02:50, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

I've been going through the references and so far they are rather poor. If anybody has references to reliable sources, please list them here and I'll add them. Thanks. 64.40.54.147 (talk) 21:05, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've started looking at the references, but I have yet to see a bio.  There are various hits on Google web, and I can find out things like the names of what are probably a few relatives, his probable middle initial, and a probable year of birth.  But without a bio I'm not sure that the world at large has ever taken specific notice of the topic as a topic.  The web archive of the press page of the self-published autobiography would be useful for Wikipedia editors, but the author says there, "I’m still not sure I want a “Press” page. We’ll see …" There is a person listed on the blog as his agent, but I can't find anything that the agent has done to promote the topic.  Unscintillating (talk) 16:05, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Unscintillating. And thanks for all your work defending the incubator. Every bit of information helps develop the article at this stage. I'm guessing I'll end up removing some of the references, but right now they provide valuable clues for finding more reliable references. I appreciate your help. 64.40.54.161 (talk) 23:39, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliography[edit]

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates for books and articles, as well as tables for organising short stories, poems and/or book reviews. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue.
