This article makes several un-verifiable claims about Nicola Napoli and Artkino Pictures – including, but not limited to, that Mr. Napoli passed information to Soviet intelligence and that Artkino did not comply fully with the FARA Act.

The article is misleading in its characterization of the content of the Verona project decrypt – which actually has Mr. Napoli “not wanting to listen to” the individual attempting to contact him. (http://www.nsa.gov/public_info/_files/venona/1944/2dec_manhattan_project_scientists.pdf)


The references that the article provides do not support any elements of the article. The link to the FBI Silvermaster file is broken. The book by John Earl Haynes and Harvey Klehr does not list Mr. Napoli or Artkino Pictures in its extensive index.
