"Winding Refn is Jewish"[edit]

This assertion is derived from a mumbled statement by the director when he was answering a question from an unnoted softball interviewer. He was deflecting accusations of antisemtism and his remark "I am Jewish" was never followed up by the interviewer. I do not find a source that says Refn has ever again publicly expressed his supposed Judaism. If someone wants to add this statement back into the article it should be supported with a second, better, source. A Google search for "Refn Jewish" comes up with sources that he is explicitly NOT Jewish on the first page of results. Lurkerekrul (talk) 17:42, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation?[edit]

Can we get a native Dane up in this joint to tell us how to pronounce his middle and surname? Reffen? Ren? Rain? Mangrove? 78.86.226.136 (talk) 12:43, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your first suggestion is close to the Danish pronounciation of the name. --Saddhiyama (talk) 15:33, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

To add to article[edit]

If we aim to be encyclopedic, shouldn't we provide the origin/etymology of Refn's nickname, "Jang"? 76.190.213.189 (talk) 01:28, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
