No mention of Ryans drug addiction?[edit]

There HAS TO BE a mention in the article that allusions to Ryans drug addiction were made in the episode.

Right now it just says Ryan "wigs out". I agree, there were several obvious allusions to Ryan's drug problem. Enigma message 08:24, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does Troy really have a drug problem? At the end Ryan says he does, but I assumed he was covertly them that he had a drug problem and was trying to ask for help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.238.82.23 (talk) 14:47, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure Ryan was referring to himself. If I had to guess, I'd say Troy is his dealer. No idea whether Troy is also a user. Ryan used to the classic "I need to know for a friend" line. Enigma message 19:42, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Aside from the obvious parts about him hanging out with Troy for no apparent reason, which points to Troy being his dealer, the most obvious clue was when Ryan got beat up by the women. Troy immediately ditched him and ran like crazy. He was afraid that if the cops came, he'd get in trouble. It's a dealer's attitude. If there's any trouble, run like hell. Enigma message 19:44, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And how would you know that? ;) There were many clues, Ryans behavior was very erratic, he was even shaking and didn't remember Michael and Dwight's names right off. Also, there's a deleted scene where Troy says he "sells Ryan the stuff he needs to have a good time." He totally has a cocaine problem, and wanted help, but Michael and Dwight are too thick to see what's going on. It's sad, really. Professor Chaos (talk) 02:53, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
While it's clear in this episode that Ryan has a drug problem, it should not be stated that it's cocaine until the show indicates as much, since we never see white powder and the word isn't mentioned. Hence my recent edit. Daniel Case (talk) 16:45, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WTH[edit]

I just read the sypnosis, and its so weird that I thought it was vandalism. I can't watch The Office on tv in australia, so I'm waiting for more DVD's to come out. Anyway, is the fourth season as strange as all the sypnosii (lol) say they are? I mean rabies, drugs, beets. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blammo77 (talkcontribs) 07:44, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dwight's beet farm has been talked about since season one or two. :) --DearPrudence (talk) 01:24, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WHAT happened to the notes?[edit]

They were all cited and accurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.218.219.112 (talk) 04:25, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a fansite. The link is still there. Professor Chaos (talk) 04:39, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Shouldn´t the Notes section be restored? Granted Wiki is not a fansite, but the titbits are still an interesting and enjoyable read, and they are still part of the episode. Should we restore it instead of censoring it away? 62.202.96.114 (talk) 23:01, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, a link to the source is sufficient. Wikipedia tells the big picture and anything relevant. For more than that, as in trivia and other stuff for fans, a link to another source is appropriate. Trivia sections are to be avoided. Professor Chaos (talk) 05:36, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Status[edit]

Page is starting to look very good. Inching its way closer to FA. Mastrchf (t/c) 02:46, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, hopefully the peer review will help us! --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 02:51, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A few of the sentences in the last paragraph of the production section don't look referenced. I have no idea where they came from, so I'm hoping you do Crabby. Just pointing this out before the vultures from PR and FAC pounce on it. Mastrchf (t/c) 02:55, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 02:58, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I must be missing it, but I'm looking at the source and I can't find those statements in there. Are you sure they're in that source? I'm not sure, I probably am just missing them. Mastrchf (t/c) 03:04, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There on the second and third pages of the interview. I'll fix the refs tommorrow. --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 03:07, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

<-- Ah, thanks. I knew I must have just been overlooking them. Mastrchf (t/c) 03:08, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I know that you're good with working with the refs crabby, and a few of them aren't in the citeweb format. Think you could squeeze that into your work for today? Mastrchf (t/c) 16:07, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reception section[edit]

I see that the reception section is getting a bit cumbersome. What would be thought of splitting the large paragraph into two, one with positive reviews, and one with mild/negative reviews. Mastrchf (t/c) 15:48, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good, I say go for it --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 15:51, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done, not sure how I like it though. Doesn't look bad, though. Mastrchf (t/c) 16:06, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FAC Concerns[edit]

Basically, the main concerns for the article, and some of the basis for its FAC fail, was a lack of reliable sources, and prose problems. I'd say that in the next few months,

  1. Some independent copy-edits should be made to clean up prose problems
  2. Some of the blogs should be either replaced with new sources, or an assurance should be found that they are reliable sources.

What does everyone else think about this? Mastrchf (t/c) 19:17, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong episode[edit]

It's the 11th episode not the 15th episode. Iheartfoxes666 (talk) 15:15, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

These are the original broadcaster's (NBC's) episode numbers. So episode number 15 is correct. See List of The Office (American TV series) episodes. —Bruce1eetalk 15:18, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
