Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted because... --Quanding (talk) 22:36, 16 May 2011 (UTC) We are a team of ex-doctoral and other postgraduate students of Bozionelos and we are able to judge his academic work. He has had contributions in many different areas and has done pioneering research. In addition he has individual impact well above 10 in the harzing Publish or Perish index http://www.harzing.com/. This is something that very few academics achieve. We are also indebted to him for his outstanding teaching that has inspired us. We hope that this is persuasive.[reply]

Your debt to him is irrelevant to Wikipedia, however his work is. I've declined the speedy deletion request since he's published a number of papers, however, to be notable a subject has to have independent, reliable sources writing about him. Are there any? - filelakeshoe 00:47, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We have already replied twice but it appears that our comment was not registered (we may be having problems understanding the system so we apologize for this). Below below is our response once more: You have asked for independent sources that indicate the impact prof Bozionelos has had. 1. He has been asked to co-author the Careers Chapter for the first Handbook of Industrial/Organizational Psychology of the American Psychological Association (APA): http://psycnet.apa.org/books/12170/003 . The APA is the most rigorous and respected body worldwide in the field of social sciences. To be asked to author a chapter for the first ever Handbook in field edited by the APA automatically places you among the very best in the world - this happens only if your work is highly respected and recognized by the best. 2. Please see below, this is just a short collection of articles that appeared in reputable media sources. This shows that not only is his research of very high academic quality but also that his research addresses important societal and managerial issues. Therefore, he has both significant academic and substantial social impact. http://www.management-issues.com/2007/8/20/opinion/the-cost-of-employee-under-performance.asp http://www.humanassets.co.uk/RS13PersonalityAndCareerSuccess http://edition.cnn.com/2005/US/Careers/10/07/nice.guys/index.html http://www.workplacebullying.org/press/globe112104.html http://www.greeley.com/43791/Conscientious-staff-are-promoted-less-and-harassed-more http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2005-10-11/news/27488999_1_nice-guys-mistakes-inconvenience-nice-people http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2005-10-11/news/27488999_1_nice-guys-mistakes-inconvenience-nice-people http://www.tes.co.uk/article.aspx?storycode=26154 http://www.royalsociety.org.nz/1996/04/12/computer-fear-worse-among-young/ Quanding (talk) 00:51, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphan article message[edit]

Please help this orphan article by adding links to it in related articles and lists. Once it has an incoming link from at least one article or list, the orphan tag can be removed (disambiguation pages, redirects and draft articles do not count). Three or more incoming links are ideal. The Find link tool may help, but not in all cases.

Multiple issues[edit]

  • To establish notability for this BLP academic's biography article, sources are needed.
  • After searching online, I found social media sites, etc. but nothing to provide in-depth coverage.
  • The article lacks sections for Early life, Personal life, Achievements and honours.
  • For Career information, the article states "He is currently employed by Durham Business School", but during search I found mention of his professorship at Emlyon Business School, here and am unable to verify that fact.
  • This article is an orphan, as no other articles are linking to it. Please help by adding links in related articles and lists.
  • Article created on 16 May 2011.

  • Update: - Today I added several CN tags; and commented out the citation to a personal webpage written by this person himself and so not acceptable. Regards, JoeNMLC (talk) 02:43, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
