It's not quite so orphaned now I've linked it to some of its references. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.208.178 (talk) 18:44, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1998 Book[edit]

The blurb from the back of the 1998 book is as follows. Is there a fair use exemption to use this?

Edward Wilson was a low profile wimp until he suddenly ound himself on prime time TV lolling open mouthed in the arms of the pneumatically buxom page-three star Tabafa Minx. Eyes agog, his girlfriend was furious. She'd kill to be a famous media mega-star like her Ed...

But then so would everyone else in 1998. For the British economy is irrevocably ravaged and instant stardom is the only means to instant cash. And when lucky Edward ends up trapped in the bombed out wreckage of a baby Berger bar with a comatose nubile at his feet filofax-toting PR man Gordon Blank knows he's hit the jackpot. But he needs a death to up the pathos quotient. So he calls in the bulldozers. And Edward realises that literally this time, he's going to be splashed all over the nation's front pages...

Combining the outrageous inventiveness of Robert Sheckley with the hilarity of Douglas Adams, 1998 is a riotous rip-cord of savage social comment!
