Place of birth[edit]

The 2018 Asiatic Games Jakarta tells here that she was born in Kaman (Bharatpur district) and not Haryana. Who is right?-Enzino (talk) 00:09, 26 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Enzino, the major Indian newspapers have always mentioned her birthplace as Chehad Khurd village of Bhiwani district, Haryana. Many of them were reporting from Bhiwani distict itself, so there are least chances of error here. Here's a sample from some of the major Indian newspapers & a couple of other websites:
Secondly, I couldn't find even a single source which mentions that she was born in Rajasthan. BTW, she was "training at a secret base in Rajasthan" in the recent months.
Finally, I've seen similar type of poor reporting of personal details by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) during this year's Commonwealth Games. And CGF was also citing user-generated sources, just like the Asiad website, e.g. the link provided by you is citing www.drilers.com, which is a user-generated content, as it neither seems to have any editorial oversight nor takes any responsibility of the accuracy of its content. The link also contains two seemingly fake Facebook accounts under its "Social" section. So, all in all, the Asiad source isn't reliable. - NitinMlk (talk) 22:04, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
