Population

[edit]

Hello, I noticed that the city population is highly inflated needlessly. Census of India explicitly says the population is 310,467 as per this source "Cities having population 1 lakh and above, Census 2011" (PDF).. Therefore I corrected it in this edit here.

Also, the infobox says Rural and Urban. Frankly, how can there be rural in a city? Also, the population of Nizamabad (Urban) and Nizamabad (Rural) legislative constituencies is simply added to get the city population. This is totally incorrect as legislative constituency is not the same as the city. Therefore I removed them in the same edit.

Please cite WP:RS before changing the city population. Ab207 (talk) 17:30, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have updated the city population based on this source, you can review my edit here -Ab207 (talk) 11:39, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Indur

[edit]

@Rizwanmahai: I believe you are mixing up official name and other name. Not used by any government body merely means that the name is not official anymore. That does not change the fact the city is referred as Indur in other contexts. One of the sources [1] in the article make it abundantly clear that the city is also called Indur. We know that - which is why the opening paragraph states "Nizamabad became a part of the newly formed state of Telangana by the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014" - Arjayay (talk) 11:36, 30 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
