Chipset

[edit]

can someone fix the specs... nokia booklet uses the Intel Poulsbo US15W chipset rather than the nvidia ION chipset, hence it's GPU is not nvidia 9400M but rather the much much weaker intel GMA500 -- Comment left in the article by 220.253.99.205 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.253.99.205 (talk) 14:37, 21 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tense of article

[edit]

This article reads as if it hasn't been updated after the release of the product. "The device will have ... " etc

Could it use an update? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.78.191.181 (talk) 00:15, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I own one...

[edit]

I own one... and I do not dare to write what I think about it because I might get banned from the Wikipedia for using too much bad language.

Then again, there is no other way to describe the device and its performance... or lack of it.

The quantity and quality of the updates to this article gives you the exact measure of its success.

Nokia Booklet 3G / 1GB / 120GB / LCD 1024x600 / 6-cell Li-Po experiences: The soldered-in fixed 1GB RAM makes it impossible to run Windows 7 with satisfaction, if there is any IT-security or antivirus software suite installed. Hunt for unofficial drivers, install WinXP SP3 and be truly happy (only BT does not work, but one can buy USB mini BT plug for like 5 usd/euro). The 120GB micro spindle HDD is extremely slow, yet brave users have replaced the storage with 64GB SATA SSD, which is a lot of cost but a lot faster. The LCD screen is too small and too wide, but not tall enough for work. Battery life, Wi-Fi and 3G GSM modem and the speakers are generally good. Media MKV / XVID playback often sucks. In essence a failed product with an exorbitant pricetag. 82.131.210.163 (talk) 12:45, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like you don't like netbooks full stop. Whilst lack of upgradeability is a negative aspect, almost every netbook in existence has 1GB RAM. The screen size standard for netbooks, and it has a higher resolution than the usual 1024x600. And obviously a non-SSD drive won't be as fast as a SSD drive, but many laptops and netbooks don't come with one. Anyhow, this is not a forum. Mdwh (talk) 03:33, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
