Notability[edit]

I think all issues about notability have been adequately addressed. Mabaso has made extensive local and national news on a number of occasions both for her arrest and then when she was murdered. I move to resolve this issue. Frombelow (talk) 15:08, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

At what point can the issue of 'notability' be resolved?

Mabaso was clearly a notable individual and the article has been improved significantly to demonstrate this. Can this now be resolved? Frombelow (talk) 20:36, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There are a number of entries for members of this organisation that relate to people for whom there was minor media coverage many years ago and nothing for further, for some years. I saw that at least one was taken down and agree that that was a fair assessment. However, this entry is on a person for whom there is extensive media coverage. Some of it cited in the article but as a quick google search shows there is much much more. Given that the assassination was discussed at the UN (along with others) and that such a large number of civil society organisations in South Africa issued a statement condemning it (along with others) it seems to be clearly worth of inclusion in Wikipedia.
