No in-jokes, please

[edit]

Unless they have some global significance, personal friends should not be added to Wikipedia articles. Repeatedly re-inserting them is just a form of vandalism.

I'm going to continue reverting the "Josh E. is a total mush" additions until someone gives me a good reason not to here in the comments. Repeatedly reverting a change without justification is vandalism; I've given my justification here. --Jere7my 03:31, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This discussion page is the place to discuss whether or not "Josh E. is a total mush" should appear in the article. We shouldn't engage in an edit war without discussing it. I appreciate that he was a friend of yours, now deceased, and I applaud your desire to honor his memory. But Wikipedia isn't the place for personal tributes, I'm afraid. --Jere7my 17:49, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lake Talk

[edit]

This really ought to be its own article or deleted. I have never seen this in a neighborhood article.

Untrue?

[edit]

As someone who attends Newton North High School, I don't really hear Lake Talk, and I've read that Lake Talk is more prevalent around older Italian-Americans so I'm really not sure.--Dengzeren08 12:55, 30 May 2024 (EST) 16:55 (UTC)
