Name and redirect
[edit]Is he Norbert Gombos or Norbert Gomboš? See Slovak Wikipedia: http://sk.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norbert_Gombos There are a few pages linking to Norbert Gombos, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/Norbert_Gombos. Should a redirect be made? --Kompik (talk) 17:07, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- Judging by the fact that Norbert Gombos is used on his official facebook page and also in Slovak newspapers (for example, this interview, many other examples can be easily found), I think we can safely say that Norbert Gombos is correct and Norbert Gomboš is not. So the page should be moved to Norbert Gombos. But I have not moved a Wikipedia article before. --Kompik (talk) 09:50, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

Norbert Gomboš → Norbert Gombos – Incorrect spelling of his name, see above. Kompik (talk) 09:54, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support - slightly complicated by the fact that in Slovak this should have a š to equal the original Hungarian pronunciation, but if sources per "Hrať doma je paráda, chváli Gombos challenger v Bratislave" don't add š, then we shouldn't. On the principle that apart from Ana Ivanovic we spell all living peoples names correctly we should aim to follow Slovak sources here. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:23, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support: Obviously, as pointed out above, if his name is spelt without an š, then the article should be at Norbert Gombos. Jared Preston (talk) 18:35, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
