US imports[edit]

"In the United States, where Norinco products are specifically non-importable, this gun is imported and sold under the names 'Norinco Hawk 982' and Interstate Hawk 982."

How can it be imported and sold in the US if it is "specifically non-importable"? Allan Akbar (talk) 18:09, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I belive sporting shotguns and ammunition is exempt.

I agree, that's a complete contradiction. Doesn't make any sense at all. Neither does the thing about it being "a 14-inch barrel shotgun". Very few shotguns come in only one size, and it would be a Federal Offense to own it in the US if that was the case. No shotguns with barrels under 18" are legal to import, sell or own, except to law enforcement. AnnaGoFast (talk) 02:21, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Barrel length[edit]

Why is there emphasis on this being a 14 inch shotgun? They come in 18", 14", 12". The HP9-1 pictured is 18". I would say 18" is the standard and the rest are variations. I own the 18" version yay:D —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.92.118.161 (talk) 06:39, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This weapon is not in PLA service[edit]

The PLA generally doesn't issue any shotguns at all, thought the PAP uses shotguns but NOT the HP9-1. They use the Type 97-1 shotgun. Semi-Lobster (talk) 15:21, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
